A powerful example of this is Eric, the Founder and Chair of the “Harmony & Drive Initiative.” He leads a team of more than 30 student volunteers who bring together music and sports to drive community service. With his violin chamber group, Eric regularly visits local senior homes to offer live performances, bringing warmth, joy, and genuine companionship to the residents. Through these musical interactions, meaningful emotional connections are built between the elderly and the volunteers.
Eric’s impact extends beyond music. Through seven fundraising events, he and his team have raised over $25,000 to support animal shelters and senior care programs in West Vancouver. He also launched a golf equipment donation program to support youth initiatives, showing how creativity and dedication can empower both volunteers and the communities they serve.
